    Rubbish finish

Hi everyone and a happy new year to you all.
I am having a problem with Solidcam machining circular pockets and leaving a facetted surface,The surface has many flats on it and looks rubbish. The model is a solidworks model and has no problems with it.
I have twiddled with all the surface tolerances and other things with no change.
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi Steve,

Are you programming this as a circular pocket, a HSM job, a HSS job or as a Five Axis job? If it is the latter then I presume you are side (or swarf) milling. If so, look to your settings in Tool Axis Control as the Orthogonal setting can bake the movements very jumpy.
