    Default Crash Solicam / Solidworks

Hello everybody, i have a problem with solidworks and solidcam.

When i select a contour for a 2,5 axis process (pocket, profile ecc.) and when i create a new reference plane the program crash. (until now....).
I have installed soliworks sp5 2016 and solicam sp 3 2016, and i have tried to reinstall both the programs but doesn't work.

    The computer required is ok.

Any ideas how to fix this??

I'm sure it's not supposed to crash, but I think the only people who could help you with that would be Solidcam as they know how their program works inside.

Personally though, I try not to make any changes to the model with the CAM running. I use the external project option when starting Solidcam, and do any CAD work like making a reference plane before starting the CAM. If I forget something, I close out of the CAM project, then open the model in Solidworks, fix it, then open the Solidcam file and let it synchronize the changes.

Ok, thanks man. I've followed your advice and it look like it works. I create the reference plane in cad mode, and i make create the rough and the finish part by the cam and the program doesn't crash.
But i wonder, why so many crashes, for this basically operation?
