    Default Set starting point for tool?

    Using solidcam, I set the origin to the center of my part, How to I set the starting point of my tool so it doesn't start inside the part and move to starting position.
    Im using solidcam16 and mach3

    Thank you for your time... New to 4 axis, and solidcam, trying to set mach3 origin to be above my part, solidcam sets it inside my part at origin.

    I figured it out finally.. Can't believe it took me 2 weeks to find that i just have to manually input the machine position.

    I don't know mach3. With solidcam it is far easier to draw your stock size around your part, make it transparent, create an referance origin where you want your tool origin to be, and then bring it in to solidcam. Choose the origin you made. The transparent stock. And your part obviously as the target.
