Does anyone know what the min spindle to table distance is on this machine? I can't seem to get the spindle lower then ~2 inches from the table before the software will stop it, does this sound like an EMC2 setting? thanks IM |

| The z-axis nut bottoms out and won't let the spindle drop closer to the table (a physical limitation and not an EMC limitation). You'll have to build new mounts that connect the z-axis carriage to the lead screw if you want to bury the spindle into the table. I'm working on this but haven't had a chance to complete it. I got lazy and just use a vice to hold the material up high enough so that the spindle can hit everything. Andrew |
