Hi Legion99999
Tell them you want your money back and to come and pickup up their junk. How could you ever be assured that they would repair it properly?Smithy has contacted me and offered to pick up the machine and repair it. The relays are bad and not coolant proof, and the casing needs a gasket. It was a month late when they built it, and i think id rather cut my losses at this point then deal with smithy and ez-trol.
Saying that Mach 3 does not have enough ports and pins is a load of C$%@. This Lathe has 2 Axis and a simple Tool Changer and a Coolant Pump. Mach 3 is capable of running up to 6 Axis. If two Parallel Ports are used you end up with something like 40 input and 15 output pins. And if that isn't enough you can always add a Modbus or PLC that will give you even more. So saying that Mach 3 cannot handle this Machine is a joke. Basically they are not willing to make this a usable CNC Lathe.I asked if they would offer mach instead of ez trol, and they said they couldn't do to the required pins and ports the machine uses. I think they really screwed up here and who ever designed ez trol should probably be fired on the spot.
I wouldn't spend another penny on this machine. Cut your losses and ask for your money back. You have already lost the Shipping amount.Sadly, i have determined at this point that Ez-trol is complete unacceptable in every way, and im better off spending the money and retrofitting it to mach 3 Im upset that im going to have to spend another 2 to 3 thousand to get this machine working correctly but live and learn i guess.
No one should have to go through this when purchasing a metal working machine. I am sorry you are the one finding this out the hard way. I feel your pain.
All the best
Willy
