| Older Smithy / CNC Greetings, The Gecko drives are good! Unfortunately, I am not familiar wth WINNC. My Smithy Granite does not have CNC. I have a Sieg Super X3 (Grizzly G0619) that has had a CNC conversion and I use Mach3 for the CNC controller software. http://www.home-machine-shop.com/X3_...er_X3_Mill.htm http://www.home-machine-shop.com/CNC_Part/ http://www.machsupport.com/ For simple jobs, I just enter G code in Mach3 and run it. For more complex jobs I use Visual Mill to generate the G code and then run it in Mach3. http://www.mecsoft.com/visualmill.shtml Did you receive any documentation for the software included with the machine? Have you researched the software provider's website? Down loading and reading the Mach3 manual might help provide a better understanding of CNC. http://www.machsupport.com/docs/Mach...all_Config.pdf You might consider joining the Smithy Machines group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smithy-machines/ Ned http://www.home-machine-shop.com
