| Removing Table on Smithy 1240 I have to get my mill into the basement and I have been able to get everything but the"base" and the XY table in and down the stairs. The thing is too awkward and heavy to deal with as one unit. I want to take the table off and I think it would be fairly easy to manipulate after that. My question is this. On the pillow blocks for the Y screw there are four holes in each. Two hex head and two smaller that I cant identify. I have backed off the hex head screws but the pillow blocks seem to be sitting on pins that i can not move to extract the table off the ways. Anyone have any ideas or tips for me before I start taking things apart that I dont have to?? thank you btw smithy 1240 |
