lathe to mill lever

hi

I have a Smithy Granite and I have an issue with the system giving possibility to switch between lathe and mill. Few time when I was in the middle of a milling operation the spindle stop turning. it is like the system switching from lathe and mill is disengaging. The lever is locked at the right position but it is disengaging. Is someone have suggestion?
