Default How much does a 1240 weigh?

I have a Smithy CNC 1240. It is the one with the gear box.

I have had it for probably 8 or 10 years .

I need to move it and can not remember how much it weighs.

I was thinking of moving it with a car engine hoist but not sure if it would handle the weight .

    Any ideas or thoughts?

I only need to move it about 10 feet.

LOL, a come-along. Search this term, I've done this with a much larger machine at least 300 feet. Cheap cheap.

    Hope I'm helping.

Hey! Here's something. Not my post, just interested now.

    mvcalypso:
The mill itself is about 1200 lbs, the stand, wings, enclosure etc add around another 350 or so.
