smithy mill-lathe model CB-1220 xl What is it worth

First time post,
Guy on craigslist wants $2,000.00 for it, seems high, I don't know. I thought thats about what they went for when they were new. I understand the dials are in metric on this one.
I probably would not be converting it to CNC. Were these pretty good machines?
Also How old is this machine?
Thanks, Tony

Red face 1220xl

i presently have this lathe converted to cnc..it is not a bad machine..the mill
part is basic at best..good for small stuff..
as for the price it is too high considering it is used..busybee sells similar machines which i think are a little less inferior , for an inferior price..
look at the busybee 3 in 1 to give you an idea..personnaly i would not give him more than $1250 if it is in good shape..

Thanks valmet58, and I understand there is no 1/2 nut on these early ones.
also do I understand there in no auto feed and these early ones are strictly manual feed, or am I mistaken?
Think I read the lead screw is metric too?
I don't know where he got the $2,000.00 price?
I do have a pretty nice Wards/Logan, 84TLC-2136,pretty much like the 200.
Mostly into woodwork, but nice to have a lathe and mill too.
Thats not My garage BTY, Don't I Wish! It's the PO of the Logan.
Thanks, Tony

If you already have a nice lathe, I would forget the Smithy- that model is OK as a lathe, but really limited as a mill, so you will really end up with 2 lathes in your garage.

Cool smithy

I second what the previous guy just said , since i have that machine..if you need a mill , buy a standalone mill . the 3 in 1 mill is basic at best..
