what is your machine's problem. If your problem is HMI or NC based you must upgrade your systems. but have you motor and electrical problem don't need upgrade.

Dear freinds,
We have a batch of 4 Hyundai HiT 18S CNC lathes with Siemens 840C controls.
The machines are old but performing.We recently had problems with the controls and had asked siemens services to help us rectify the problems.
They visited us and have advised us to upgrade the control to 840D as 840C is not in production anymore.
For us this will be an expensive maintenance so I just would like to know from you freinds if any second hand 840C controls are available.
Please help me.

Hi,
Ourmachines problems are connected with NC controls. The mechanical side does not recognize NC commands and the machine does not respond.
Siemens identified it as that of NC control problem but are unable to supply us the required spares for 840C model.

these are serious problems. you can change your NC systems to 840D
Thank you very much. Well, we were told by siemens the same thing,but wondered if we could get a 840C control ifavailable second hand!

we have a used sinumeric 840c control but its hard disk has lost all data and softwares in ut, like windows 3.1, NC, and PLC softwares
can anyone help me? or shall i sell it?
If you lost HDD data, you need a valitak casette driver and orginal backup casette. If you don't have sell it...
from where can i get valitak casette driver and orginal backup casette????
