    Re Memory

You can see if you 840D have a MMC or a PCU on the back of your operator panel and the model of this.
Any of these systems have a hard drive to store large programs.
If don't , you can execute the programs from pc trough DNC until 19200 Bauds.
Coment me the model of your MMC or PCU and i tell you if have hard disk.

    That`s good.
You have a hard drive and you can execute a program fron directly you drive.
First, you have to load you program to the disk, then you can execute it.
You can see yours programs in you this in PROGRAM, and you can upload and download in SERVICES.
Search in your machine manuals, how is the procedure.
If you can't upload and execute, i will find in my old manual of SINUMERIK.
