What book(s) is recommended for studying 840D programming?

Hi all,

I am a beginner of sinumerik 840d control and would like some pointers on where I should start. I learned Fanuc control by using Peter Smid's books and I am wondering if there is any book that provides the similar information for newbies in Sinumerik 840d control?

I would just download the free PDF manuals. They are very helpful. SINUMERIK 840Di sl/840D sl/840D HMI and SINUMERIK 840Di sl/840D sl/840D HMI-Advanced.
Siemens makes all of it available for free. They also have programming and advanced programming. There are some differences compared other controls.
