Strange cutting pattern

Romos, (or others)

Any ideas why when I cut thicker metal I get the pattern shown here?

The cut starts by forming a hole, as the cut proceeds it then makes a good clean line.

I tried adjusting the amount of time the laser gets to start the cut, and I also tried adjusting the pressure of the oxygen.

What thoughts?

Owen

This is normal.
To cut a clean part, use in your file, Lead in/out.

That's discouraging, I didnt know the cut would work that way.

So you are suggesting making a point of entry into the cut? I give an example of making a circle in my drawing.
