Newbie to G-Code

I'm loking for some super easy cheap / free software to convert my dxf into g-code. It could be 2D only. I don't want to think about it yet. Just need to cut some stuff. I'm using Linux EMC to drive the machine.

Basically: Export to DXF, import and convert to G-Code, Load in EMC, set Zero and run.

In a perfect world that would work, but from what i have seen curves give a little problem with a simple converter, and need to be eddited.

Do you want a converter that runs in Linux? Not sure if one is available. You can always use ACE. http://www.dakeng.com
