Spring Loaded Rack and Pinion request

Working on my plasma table. Have the cross slide done.

Working on the long axis. Using rack and pinion setup. So far I have the motor mounted with a belt going to a driveshaft which runs to each side to another pulley. I now need to connect that pulley to the pinion. Rack is mounted upside down (teeth facing the floor).

Anybody have any good drawings, or suggestions on how to connect it?

Want to make it spring loaded, and though of an arm that pivots at the driveshaft end, being pulled up onto the rack. Not sure it is going to be stable enough though.

Hopefully figure something out tomorrow, so any suggestions soon will be appreciated.

This is how I have done it in the past with a Rosta Tensioner, This pivots the motor assy and provides tension into the rack http://cnczone.com/forums/showthread...ighlight=rosta
Also some I have seen some Tables that has used a Gas filled shock for tension.
