Sources for ingots

Anyone live in the New Jersey area that would know of local sources to purchase aluminum/bronze/brass ingots? Where does everyone who melts metal get theirs? Any internet based sources?

Try here: http://www.budgetcastingsupply.com
I've ordered from them in the past (not ingots though) and have been very satisfied.

Apparently the site you refer to now sells ingots.

Thank you for the link.

Try your local (if you have one) foundry. They usually have them or call the local universities, most of them have a small foundry or two in them for art and such and see where they get theirs. We have a foundry in the area that sells to the university so I just bought what the university was buying. Good luck Ron

Give these guys a call:

Belmont Metals, Inc.
http://www.belmontmetals.com/
330 Belmont Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11207
(718) 342-4900

I've purchased from them many times (silicon bronze). They seem to have decent prices and ship quickly.

If you're near Mercerville, New Jersey:
Johnson Atilier
http://www.atelier.org/index.shtml
(609) 890-7777

I don't know what they offer anymore... They used to have a pretty extensive catalog.

Good Luck,
