any opinion on procutt

im considering getting that table (4x4) and hypertherm 1250 i will do very little 1 inch cutting so i thought its better to go big eventho i rarely will use it.. since it will last quite long time right?


anyone have another suggestion for tables? reason why i picked that one is because of the price and its industrial looking and is strong..

thier accuracy they claim is .0005 +/-

so the cut will depend on the plasma itself then...

anything i should watch out for?

I am also looking at the Procutt. One thing about their tables is that they do not offer an arc voltage control. Table looks good and solid and is driven on both sides of the gantry, but their "plate height adjuster" looks like it is prone to snagging on the previously cut edges(watch their video). The other tables I am currently considering are dynatorch, and plasmacam. Plasmacam seems like it is one of the most complete and ready to go packages(control panel and servo driven), but seems a little light in construction. Plus I'm not sure I like the pointed slats they provide. Dynatorch seems to have the superior table design and is servo driven, but there is currently a 3 week lead time on their tables and they cost about $3000 more than a plasmacam, they are 4' x 8' though. You will also need a machine torch and provide your own slats.
I myself would like to hear other peoples experience with various tables. I am really having a tough time deciding.

I was in the same boat as you 2 guys. I had looked all over the place at a machine and even went to a few places and demoed them. I found K2 and talked to ken and have not been sorry a bit at the machine he built me. There are pictures of it in the members gallery I have the best of both worlds a router table and a plasma table for a lot less than plasmacam wanted. plus I am not stuck with propritory hardware/software like you get with plasmacam. go to k2cnc.com and check kens machines out. He has been great with me.

Kevin's machines look nice and appear to have the best bang for the buck, but I am looking for a "plug n play" plasma machine. I think it will be the dynatorch machine.

could u explain bit more about that im not too sure what ya meant..

and one advantage about procutt u can use hand torch instead of machine torch (saving of lot $$)


im still trying to figure out hte budgets and everything.. im still thinkin about getting them tho..

I purchased a 4X8 Easy Loader from the same company in September. The video doesn't have the sheet folowwer on it. The one they sent with my machine works great, it has a 6 inch taper disk underneath, so it floats over holes, slag, or expanded metal. It is mounted using a linear bearing, which keeps the torch strtaight (level.

My EasyLoader has an open boom so I can load 6 ft wide sheets.
This is great for my business and shop space.

I am also looking to buy a table and fit it to work with an oxy-lpg torch to cut 17mm to 25mm mild steel plates. After checking on the web pages, I tend to go for either torchmate or dynatorch. Dynatorch has DC brushless servo but Torchmate seems to have more users. Would appreciate advise on the advantage of each. Thanks

I am also looking at purchasing a dynatorch 4x8. I have looked at all the machines i know about and this one looks the best, servos, well built, and lower cost. my price range is around 25k. Anyone have any other sugestions? I would greatly appreciate. thanks.

My 2 cents worth....

I have an old 6 year old Torchmate the operates off of Microkinetics DOS software. Very dated stuff but it works.

I am at a cross road as to needing to update.... without question I would buy Dynatorch. Leon Drake is a gentleman and will bend over backward to offer tech support. I have a AVC built by Technogon....Leons company and these guys are first class.

Companies should model themselves after folks like Leon and Walt! Customer service is what most companies are built on and DT is following suite.

I ordered my 4' x 8' Dynatorch Gantry last Nov. 05 and got it shipped all the way to the Philippines. I have since been using it attached with a oxy-propane torch for cutting mild steels 12mm to 50mm thickness.
I made a tabletop only and instead of placing the metal on the table I moved the tabletop to the metal I am cutting. My metals are in the size of 6' x 20'.
The people over Dynatorch are real professional and my unit is working fine.
Anybody intending to buy Dynatorch can have peace of mind that they are getting a good equipment.
