Beautiful Aluminum CNC Fixed Gantery Build

This website has many CNC build logs, however, recently while searching the
web with keywords of "homemade CNC machine", I found a website in
Spanish that had 18 pages of beautiful hi-res pictures of a build log.

I know how fast good things disappear on the web, so I immediately grabbed
the entire build with all of its pictures to my harddrive.

If you are a person who appreciates the efforts of others, go to Google and
under the languages link, setup a pointer to http://www.devilmaster.org/sections....ticle&artid=40
then select English translation and pages with Spanish and hit Search.

You will get a translated access to an article called "My little CNC",
18 pages are there for you enjoyment.

This build is so detailed that I could build a similiar unit from just the pictures.

Enjoy,
Jesse

Very impressive CNC, I enjoyed that a lot. I wish I had his tooling for building something like that

18 Page Fixed Gantry Build Log - how to get there

Jerryl:

If you followed the link and my instructions you should have no problem
finding the 18 page build called "My little CNC - First Party".
By using Google for language translation, you can get it with English text,
or whatever language you need, but be sure to tell Google to search
for Spanish pages/websites.

What it is: its a 18 page build log of a mostly aluminum cnc router design
using extruded aluminum and solid AL plate, and it is beautiful not only
in the use of hi-res pictures, but the detailed and many pics of the step
by step build.

Hope this helps.

Jesse

That's a beautiful machine

Some of the translations made me laugh too... interesting to know that the 900W power of a Kress spindle isn't 'turkey mucus' ... and what are the many references to strawberries???

Man that had to cost him some money to build that. Laser cuts, the drawn out pressed stainless steel mounts. Unless of course he worked at a machine shop.

Mmm... most impressive DIY for the deep pockets and unlimited tools.

I will try to source for alu profile for use as my base and try to work out the rest without the expensive and complex stuff.

Happy with your comments.

This is a long work, around a year to build this machine and later... everything disassembled to the pics for your "view".

ZipSnipe the price of Laser cut is not high. Four parts like this:

is around 70€ in 6mm of thickness.
The parts in stainless steel they are made in my habitual work but replaceable for other more simple.

The machine run good, my last work is this:

This base is cut starting off of a rectangular piece of cooper to 5mm thickness and milled in two sides.

The Kress is great...

Sorry my english.

Ketchak.
