Hitachi Seiki

Looking into Hitachi Seike mill and found taken over by Mori. How are they on service for the used Hitachi market. We are in Utah.

I spoke with a Mori service tech yesterday.

He said it is getting harder and harder to get parts for them.

You should be able to get Fanuc parts no problem, but anything on the machine builder side may give you some trouble.

I suggest staying with a brand that is still in business or one that offers good service in your area.

As someone has told me before, " no matter how good of a brand you buy, it will eventually break down, and need a service call "

Our closest Mori dealer is 4 hours away, and you might as well figure at least $1000 just to get them to look at the machine.

But they do offer really good phone support, which is a plus.

Don't buy the Hitachi Seiki !!
