Thumbs up Repost from CAD/CAM software discussion

Hey all. Was given great advise from everyone in the forum...my "schtick" is CNC plasma, a side thing...I'm a bored architect that has a pretty high mech. ability, with that I started designing flames for my truck but was farming out the plasma process...so I got a shop and a CNC table, plasma cutter and away I go...NOT...I have a AutoCAD background (since high school) but this converting into CAM (I know G-code) then it goes to my PC on my CNC machine...

I get lost in the translationship /process from the design DXF/DWG into
G-code part...

I jumped the gun by purchasing MeshCAM without running it by you guys and now it was suggested to review SheetCAM (which I'm doing)...I understand cutting paths but have a low confidence in the software since beta and I'm not to keen on spending 500 on CAM software...ANY or ALL HELP...

Thanks,
Pierre

shop rent = $1500 month
CNC table = $5000
Plasma cutter = $2000
buying the wrong CAM software that I can't use.....PRICELESS!
