Default MC 9 Island pocketing with 2 diff size endmills

I have about 20 islands with many that need 1/16 endmill to machine small
pockets .. I tried to rough with a 3/8 first but now the tool paths are crazy when I go back with a 1/16 ..

    Thanks

Did you chose remachining with the smaller endmill?
If so, the smaller endmill will only machine the parts of the piece the larger endmill couldn't do.

Remaching was used but now .. there are tiny lil .030 towers that the small cutter
and the larger cutter missed ...
I have tried diff setting cant seem to get them to disapear uless I machine the island pocket with just a small cutter but that takes 2hrs of machine time .

    Thanks

Try to use another pocketing method.Or increase overlap.

just out of curiosity why go to a 1/16 from a 3/8?, don't you think that the 3/8 will leave too much material for the 1/16. i would use an intermediate cutter in between the two

If you can ENVISION it I can make it

Let the smaller cutter be one that is 1 size smaller than the radius.Or do it the way cnc-king suggested.
