GT-10 feedback, questions.

Hello,

Looking at getting a lathe now, which is new territory for me. It will most likely be a Haas, so only one type of controller needs to be understood, and I have been looking at the GT-10 with a turret. Seems to be a good value, and I was wondering if there was anyone here to give feedback on it.

I have a question though, is 3K enough spindle speed? It will primarily be turning aluminum.

Thank you,
Alex

if you are going to be primarily turning alum, then I'd think 3k would not be enough. Smaller parts will kill you with cycle time.
