3D Skin in Version 19

I am using Bob Cad/Cam V19 and have the latest .003 patch installed.

I am following along in the Version 18 manual trying to learn 3D Skins (pg 60).

Everything goes well until I get to pg. 63 step # 11.

The 'Skin' option under the 3D tab is not available.

What have I missed?

Mike

There are many reasons for Skin not being available such as, selection in the wrong direction, unbroken intersections, unchained entities, the list can go on and on. What you really ned to focus on is the direction of selection and here are the rules.
1. You must select an origin(point from which al info travels)
2. Make sure you select the geometry so that it is pointing away from the origin
3. Also make sure you select the geometry, in order, from the origin out

If you keep these things in mind while trying to use the skin function, you should have no trouble. If you do call support, they can normally help.

Regards
