what motor strength

for the Grizzly #8689, Micro Mark #82573, Homier #03947, and Harbor Freight #449 models would work well.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Do you want advice on spindle motors or axis drive motors?

If your asking about stepper/servo motors, I suggest 300oz, no less but can do with more, I was running my 300oz motors at 2a instead of 4a and just a little bit of crap on the ballscrew would make it miss some steps. This was around 150-200oz/in now Im running at full bore and it is very good.

the spindle drive motor is typically between 4/5 and 3/4hp I think the micro mark is 1/2hp
