Old Question

Im sure this has been asked a few times...

I have an older enco 30 mill + drill and a "matching" lathe.. model.. 110- something.. its a.. 9x20 i tink?

Anyways.. I am thinking about CNCing the lathe, and maybe the mill. I have plenty of parts to do this. My questions are:

a-are the origional leadscrews good at all?

b- whats with the massibe backlash? I cna turn the handles maybe 10-15deg before it actually does anything...

Im more interested in the lathe, as i am building a router table, nd dont need to machine metal..

Thanks!
