Chinese lathe/mill cnc conversion

I have a HQ500 Lathe/Mill/Drill combo. The accuracy of which is entirely proportionate to the operator skill. For the money and the versatility I am more than happy with the machine. I does require frequent service and adjustment to maintain accuracy.
I have looked the possibility of converting to CNC. Has Anyone out there any experience or thoughts on if and how this could be done without too much compromise.
