Are there any other [Hartford] CT CNC hobbyists/enthusiasts on this site? Or am I the only one in [hartford] CT into this craft?

Try posting in the mentor area.
There are so many people on this site, there are bound to be a few in CT.
If not, There are plenty of people in New England.
One other source might be:

I have only been to one of the monthly meetings, but there is considerable knowledge of manual and CNC there.
