After working for a while, my probe is over running the z setting, that is it goes to the plate and then drops almost .25" then goes up. It does this every time now. Also the y direction stopped working. The DRO's move but the motors won't run either direction, x still works fine. the centering button won't start the centering process.

Any one have any ideas.

Are usding the correct edge?

Active low/high might be causing the strange response, or lack thereof.

some explanation:

I just completed my CNC and installed the touch probe. It works perfectly! Thanks, erniebro!

An interesting thing is that I did not do anything with debounce. I didn't set the debounce in Mac3 nor did I install a capacitor.

capacitor

I think I need the capacitor because my probe light blinks randomly when I touch the bit (or the bed or anything else metal. What voltage is the .10 uf cap?

I am having trouble with this. I am getting a combination of the regular Machblue and the one with the probe panel with the spindel speed panel layered together. any fix for this?

I was having all kinds of trouble with the typical 3 ball bearing probe as well, it was doing all kinds of squirley things. I figured out it was the probe and it's design that was causing me fits. So I redesigned it and it is much simpler to make, so far 100% reliable. look at my youtube videos if you are interested.

I'm trying to figure out how precisely the rods laying down in the triangular body piece have to be located end for end.

I like it. Would like some sort of a file that you have mentioned in your video. Cool stuff. Thanks.

You have the DXF's posted somewhere? And on a slightly unrelated note, bring back bmpbender
