Now this could well come under the heading of the blind leading the blind (more referring to me than you, Richard), but in the Code line, shouldn't you be telling Z to go somewhere? "G0 Z????"

ZNew = GetVar(2002) 'read the touch point
Code "G0 Z" &ZNew 'move back to hit point incase there was overshoot
While IsMoving ()

You would think so, but it seems to work the way it is written. I worked with it after making the post and finally got it to enter the Z DRO with the thickness of the touch plate and it makes the adjustment for the overrun. It also posts a status indicating the Z has been zeroed. If I understand the script correctly it should go positive .250 after the overrun adjustment followed by a rapid movement for a 1 inch total. For some reason it skips those steps.?? I entered the same commands in the Y+ and X+ scripts and they work fine. Go figure??
Thanks for the response.

Smile G540 Probe Setup

TOC Admin,

Connect the plate wire to main terminal position 4 on the G540

Attach a wire from the mill or router frame to main terminal position 12 on the G540 "ground"

See attached G540 image.

Configure Mach3 ports and pins "Probe" for input 13

See attached pin 13 image.

Follow the directions in this thread to complete the probe setup.

Z Zero push button activation

This is quite something, I enjoyed reading about the probe, downloaded and installed it today, worked first time with no errors, thank you to Ernie and all the lads who contributed to this smart tool, one question though, would it be possible to combine the Z Zero activation with a remote push button and the on-screen feature, I guess a little of both worlds.
Regards
Chris

I am going to ask one more time to see if I get any responce. I have tried to reinstall the Blue Screen and it did not work. Here is a shot of what I get. Something is wrong with the probing section of the screen. Mach 3 2.56. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, James.

What is your screen resolution? Try setting the screen to 1024 x 768.
