| I don't have a Patriot (not deep enough pockets). A few months ago I bought a lightly used 2001 vintage Shopmaster 2000 Eldorado with what was (at the time) called the "Quadralift" option. It has an R8 spindle and is a VERY solid machine. Much more so than the similar size Grizzly and Smithy machines. I've built a Shumatech DRO-550, and am in the process of mounting scales. I'm extremely pleased with the machine and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend one. Oh, By the way I live a little South East of Seattle by Auburn... |
