Need Help!- Motor replacement 1720 gold

I have a 1720 gold and the motor on the lathe went out today. Any thoughts on where to get a new motor. Would like to find something that is variable speed.

Have you talked with JT at Shopmaster? On those motors, the most common failure is the start capacitor, especially on the lathe where you might be doing a lot of repeated start-stops for measuring your part. Changing the capacitor is easy and cheap.
I know the new Patriot machines are all equipped with 3 phase variable frequency drives, so there may be an upgrade available for your machine.
