Hello fellow chip makers!
I'm in a small need of help, I have an eldorado bridgemill which has CNC from the factory, I'm trying to install DRO's. I have installed the "Y" axis, I think I've seen where to mount the "Z" axis, but I'm having a small problem with the "X" axis. can somone point in the right direction?
Thanks
I read/lurk alot, I hear all these people bashing the Shopmaster line, I don't know what they complain about. you pay a decent price for a machine which is designed for the "Home Hobbyist" your going to have some slop here and there, so fix it yourself!!! If they want a machine which has no slop, go spend $60,000 on a haas or bridgeport.
I love my machine!
Sorry, its the JENIX system, the one Shopmaster sells, I didn't see pictures, can you point me in the right direction? thanks
The older machines were designed with the mounting points for the Canadian made CBX system. To install the Jenix, you will need some simple adaptors. Get some 5mm or 10-32 threaded rod and nuts and washers. A small piece of flat plate about 6 X 6 and a piece of 1 1/4 aluminum angle. The angle and threaded rod can usually be found in the hardware section of Home Depot.
Following are some pictures of the installation.

Thank you! I was looking on the front of my machine, not the back! (Old age is catching up) Thanks again
