    Default ENGRAVING WITH THE SHOPMASTER

Many years ago I met a guy in Germany who built small, high precision milling machines, and his business card was made of engraved brass. I always remembered that card, and just recently one of my customers began offering an engraving kit for the Patriot and Mill Turn Machines. I asked him to engrave a card for me just to see how long it would take. Attached is a video of the first try on a piece of brass clad aluminum, and a picture of a revised layout. Cards are standard 2" X 3 1/2" size. It's one of those things you wouldn't want to pass out to everyone, but for a special contact- supplier or banker etc. it is something they are not likely to toss away. By my calculation, a guy could setup a program and make about 20 pieces out of a single sheet 9" x 20"

This is REALLY cool! Every machinist needs an engraved card to show off!

    Larry,
The guy in this video builds the engraving kits- his contact is at the end.
