SheetCAM? I am in the market for CAM software and through reading the forms I found sheetcam. It seems to do what I want and the price is right. The question is for those who use this, how do you like it? Also are thier any other CAM software packages in this price range ($100 -$150) worth checking out? I have tried Bob CAM v17 and liked sheet cam a bit more, easier to use. Open to suggestions, without the forms I would have never heard of sheetcam. Thanks.

All I can say is that I like it. I had been doing all my programs by hand, and this is very easy to use and has a lot of good features. Les (the author) is also very responsive, and new versions come out frequently. I can't compare it to any other programs, but I pretty much hated all the CAM programs I demo'd (except OneCNC) Swami

I will have to second the notion that SheetCam is a good program. Not only is it easy to use, the developer (Les Newell) provides fantastic support. There are several of us (myself included) that ask questions that should not have to be asked. He is allways responsive and never condesending. If you think of a feature that you would like, he will consider it and many times it is implemented within days! I have been with the beta process from early in the program. One of the best features is the coding of post processors is open source! Les provides in the documentation the interface words, and a link to the program that it uses. All of this and a very reasonable price. Usual disclaimer, but I think this program rocks. Bubba
