| where to set switch offset ? Where in sheetcam does one set the switch offset value for the floating Z switch on a plasma torch ??? |

| Ther are two places you can set it. For testing, use the 'set post processor variable' function in SheetCam (button with a big V on it). The variable name is 'switchoffset' (without the quotes). Make sure this appears in the process list before any cuts. Once you have got the switch offset sety up correctly, go to c:\program files\sheetcam\posts and open the post with a text editor. Near the beginning of the file you will see a line something like this: switchoffset =.060 Set the value to your switch offset. Save the post then rename it. This will prevent it getting overwritten if you update your copy of SheetCam. |
