| Rigid Tapping Can the Sharp SV2412 do true rigid tapping? What I mean is, can it perform a tapping cycle with the tap in a collet. Or does it need a spring compliant type of tap holder. Thanks. |

| Rigid taping as the name implies is "rigid" in other words "held solid" and normally able to peck as well as doing one shot taping. A "Floating" holder is normally used on machines that have no full spindle feedback (encoder of some sort) Hope that helps!
