Question slopes and angles

i am running a sharp vertical knee mill with accupro software. i have full auto control for x y and z.

i am attempting to make a fixture for an MBE Vacuum system. the part is 27.94mm long by 30.48mm wide.

i need a 2degree slope across the face milling .98mm along the length(27mm)

i am using a shim setup as i havent found a way to program the z control to mill along the x or y axis. it will mill to a set height but, i need to have it lower itself along the milling run of 27mm.

at the end of the 27 mm, i will also need to put a .69mm cut at 45 degrees along the bottom width.

i can tilt the head front to back and left to right, but due to the size of the part and bits i choose to use it gets a little tight. i have cut the 45degree already but, due to my lack of experience i will have to do it again.

is this software programmable in such a way to have the z control a slope of 2 degrees removing a total of ~1mm of material along a 27mm run? oh i am using black coated SS i think.

i am looking for any suggestions or ideas.

thanks for the help in advance,

shane

Red face

i see people read but no response.

that ok, after thinking about here at home for awhile i figured out what would probably be the best way.

feel kinda stupid i was so overthinking this, for my solution so pretty simple.

i just get a mill bit that covers close to the width i need (~ 1.1inch or more), then set the head too 2degrees, lower to -.98mm from zero, set lowest front edge to within 1mm of edge and mill from the side.

duh

seems appropriate.

ha not only do i frequently talk to myself i even get to answer my own posts. ROTFLMAO

atleast someone is laughing....
