It jerks but smooths out some with relation to the frequency from the freq drive. The motor is 3hp 12ft/lbs torque.. The freq drive is 3hp 1000HZ The motor was able to drive a load coupled to its gear box. Could hear thje drive train chatter though. When i stalled the motor it reversed direction instantly. Thats not good. So there you have it. Any comments, analysis, and haters welcome |

| If you mean a run off a VFD, I have had no appreciable success, I believe the difference is caused due the VFD designed for a induction rotor, a servo has a P.M. rotor. Al.

| I was curious. I found a 1391DES AB PWM servo drive laying around. The drive accepts resolver feedback for position control.or firing circiut I figured out the orientation of the resolver and Its now driving the unknown 2KW .motor. I would not have tried to drive PWM motor with a different drive if I hadn't read your post. Thanks Al! |
