Hi, I want to run my spindle with a servo motor and yesterday I picked up a BNIB mitsubishi 750watt servo drive from ebay.. Can I use a 400watt servo motor if I adjust the "high torgue limit" Pot/resistor to a fixed resistor with correct value? It's not because I don't like the 750watt ..but the falnge size is to largeBest regards Thomas btw..Can I use other brands or do the motor have to match the driver exactly? |

| the mitsubishi servo motors and drives are matched pairs. the 750 drive will only run 750 motors etc. they show a fault code if connected to wrong motor. the drive queries the encoder which tells it what motor size it is. they are serial encoders so no fooling them!
