Hey all, If you are doing a CNC retrofit or other automation project and need some servo motors, check out Majestic Machinery brushless servo motors and drives. http://www.majesticmachinery.com/mac...ervo/servo.htm I just bought two of the 750 W sets for a lathe conversion and I really like them so far. More to come as I get a little further for my project. Best regards, -Brian |

| Hello, Good day. What progress on your project? I am interested also to retrofit my cnc lathe. I like to see your project. Can you post some picture. What lathe you converted? How much you bought driver and motor. Do you use mach3? Thanks. Asuratman. |

I have another thread going that talks about my project. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showth...637#post664637 I don't have any pictures yet, but when I do I will post them there. To answer some of your other questions, the 750W servo drive and motor sets I used normally cost $799 per axis They are a good value compared to every other similarly featured sets I explored and they appear to be high quality. I saw them on eBay once at a reduced price, but I have not seem them there since. I use Mach 3 for my CNC mill and I plan to use it for my lathe as well. It is great! -Brian |
