| If your are talking the DC power supply for the drive (PWM), then the drive manufacturer I use suggests 10% to 50% over the motor rated voltage. There are some previous links here which I can dig up if neccessary. The main concern is to not exceed the max rpm of the motor, which should be limited by the motion controller. Al.

| Hello Al, What should be on secondary voltage of transformer for 160 VDC output (for GD controller)? If on the primary is 220 VAC, is this right for secondary in this case is 160 X V2 = 226 VAC?If right what kind of trasnformer this one? Thanks. |

| The final DC will be x .707 to get the required AC input, for 160vdc then you will need a 112vac secondary. Al.
