amc dx15co08 rs232 programming help please | |
Hello everyone,
It has been a while since I have been involved in my home machines. The bug started chewing on my but again so here we are.
When I power up the drive with nothing attached the light is steady red with a green flash.
So I have this digiflex servo amplifier. Seems to be a very nice drive unit. Going through what limited documents I could find on there site(amc), it seems there should be an rs-232 pinset on the board. I have found a set of 3 pins on the board opposite the main connectors. These three pins are next to a larger pin connector labeled jtag, documentation says it's for later use. I have downloaded the driveware software, I have used a usb serial port and a standard port.
Any help would be great. I would like to use this drive to run the brushed dc motor on my mini micro lathe. I was laid off a few months ago and can't really afford to buy alternatives or replacements.
