| Nice link and information, thank you. I have a friend who is doing something similar with some big servos for a BP conversion. I think one needs to be careful using that method to avoid runout of the extension shaft, but there's no reason it couldn't be successful. For modular encoders, if you need a line-drive encoder with complements, the RENCO RM15 and RM21 series are tough to beat. They nearly install themselves, automatic gapping and positioning of the encoder disk. They are also moderately priced. |
