Does anyone have the wiring diagram for a Fanuc 5M Servo motor encoder. I am looking for the pin-out diagram for the amphenol connector for the encoder. Anyone have this information available? Thanks in advance! |

| Al, what are the OH1 and OH2 leads? Is there any problem with tying the +5v and 5V com leads to make one +5V and one 5V com lead instead of 3? The reason I ask is the motion control on the new control uses 9 pin serial connectors for the encoder connection instead of the old Honda connectors used by the Fanuc control. |

| The OH1/OH2 are temperature sensor and is a normally closed thermal switch. Some current drives have this feature that allows drive shut down on motor overheat. The reason for the 3 leads on the 5v supply is to spread the load and eliminate the chance of volt drop on the supply leads. The answer would be to use the largest gauge possible if only using one conductor. Al.

| If you do not have a usable input for the OH, just leave them unconnected. If you really wanted to use them, they could go in series with a E-stop string for example. Al.
