I'm trying to get a JMAR xyz that I bought off ebay working. It has a PMAC Lite controller based "Multi-Axis Servo Controller System": http://www.jmar-psi.com/productsfrm.html I got everything up and running software wise and it can read the encoders and detect the position of the stages. However, there's no power to the 3 drives. I looked more carefully and found out there's an e-stop 5 pin plug on the back. It came with a mating connector but there's no wiring diagram. I opened it up and looks like there's a relay of some sort near the e-stop. I figure there is probably +5V one of the lines and 4x connections to each of the drives to cut off power. So if I just wired all 5 lines together it should work but no go. However, I wasn't able to measure any voltages on any of the line combinations. Anyone familar with this product or have any ideas what the e-stop wiring would be? I'd like to convert it to run Mach 3. What's the easiest options here? Thanks! |

| Unless you can get someone at the company to help with the wiring you may have to physically trace the E-stop wires back to the PMAC to determine which connector they go to. I'd be willing to guess they end up at J5 on the PMAC which is general purpose I/O. Then.... since this I/O is programed in the PMAC you would need to pick apart the program to determin what these inputs need to work the E-Stop. Steve |

| I wired up all the contacts together and it works. That's what I expected so glad that I got it working! This XYZ thing with PMAC is pretty cool. I did pick apart the configuration file and figured out all the connectors for it. |
