| Dave Drain showed me the single axis version of these boards at a trade show in Melbourne earlier this year. To me they look better than anything out there in the hobby market, I was quiet impressed. The only issue was they are a fairly highly rated board in the amps/volts range (pretty technically advanced in all areas) and if I understand correctly they dont have significantly lesser rated board at a lower price like some of their competitors have. With that in mind they'd be an excellent board if you have a power supply and servo motors which would make the most of their rated capacity, if you run smaller motors it would be worth you time looking to see what else is out there at least to compare. Dave also told me about a product which is under development which effectively takes the step and direction signals from one axis and controls two servos and keeps them running in sync, apparently works a lot better than having machine control software doing the job . I'm sure the crew from CNCTeknix can answer any questions in this area. Splint |
