Hi I am trying to get actual values for the acceleration of servo motors for a college project i am doing on cnc programming. I am trying to get data on the acceleration times of various servo motors.

Are you trying to obtain Manuf. specs or want to obtain the results of a particular motor empirically?
You could obtain the rotor inertia from the spec sheet and use a zero load using one of the free sizing programs.
I am not sure why you would need this, as usually the acceleration rate is calculated when attached to a load and certain accel/decel rates are required, The motor size is then typically calculated for a motor to load inertia ratio of < 10:1.
Any reduction will reduce the inertia ratio by the square of the reduction.

I am actually doing a college project and need the spec (acceleration data) as i am writing a computer programme to estimate machine time based on motor acceleration and deceleration

As I mentioned, I think that obviously this will depend on motor load and acceleration requirements (Inertia).

You can reasonably expect 15,000 radians per second squared from brush type servomotors.
