I have an old, but unused drive pack. I want to convert a Seig style X3 bench mill to CNC and am wondering if this drive pack would be suitable. The drive pack is an Anaheim Automation DPK72004 it's a 4 axis driver package rated at 1 to 7 amp /phase (stand still motor current) 10 amp/phase max. it supports full and half step operation unipolar drive (for 6 or 8 lead motors) it's a bilevel driver, not a chopper driver... here's the lit. for a very similar AA drive pack (I believe the only difference is the power supply is only 600 W on this one) http://www.anaheimautomation.com/man...rs%20Guide.PDF The individual drivers appear to be AA BLD72s... here's info. http://www.anaheimautomation.com/man...rs%20Guide.pdf I'm a newby and am just coming up to speed.... My biggest concern is that it is not a micro-step dirver... will half stepping get me a smooth drive for milling. are these dinosaurs? any othe comments? input? Thanks in advance Matt |
