Can someone explain to me what "encoder mode " is? I am building a controller for a 4 axis servo system and intend to use MACH3 software. The documentation says I have to know what the encoder mode is. 1 or 2 or 4. Thanks for the help. gin40 |

| I believe that refers to what multiplication of the basic quadrature encoder pulse as the resultant driver that you use which could use x1 x2 or x4 of the basic pulse/rev of the encoder. The x2 and x4 increases the feedback resolution by the x amount. But Mach3 does not read encoders directly, so I could be wrong. Al.
